BCR-02.1: Autoscaling is configured to deploy compute resources in multiple availability zones (AZs). This improves resiliency in case of a single resource or availability zone (networking) failure. This capability is supported on all major cloud providers.
This strategy should be used for containers or virtual machines/instances. For maturity Level 2, only some workloads need to be configured for autoscaling across availability zones.
Control automation: Automated
AWS control specification: * There are instances in the account and at least one autoscale group is established and configured to use multiple availability zones
There are containers in the account and they are either hosted in Fargate or are configured on a cluster deployed in multiple AZs
Azure control specification: none
GCP control specification: none
Third-party (CSPM/CNAPP) control specification: none
